Documents Required

Pre-requisites

• Passport – Issued within the last 10 years, containing at least two blank pages, and valid for at least three months beyond the departure date.
• ID Photograph – As per Photo Specifications.
• UK Residency –
  • Provide a UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.
• Official Travel Document – If applicable, a Note Verbale is required.

Purpose of Travel & Specific Requirements

Self-Employed, Liberal, or Independent Professions

• Proof of qualifications and authorization to practice (if applicable to a regulated profession).
• Business registration proof or documents verifying professional activity.
• Financial documentation proving sufficient resources equivalent to minimum wage (SMIC) in France.

Entrepreneurs & Business Creation

• Business plan, multi-annual financial estimates, and proof of economic viability.
• Company registration documents (if already created).
• Proof of professional qualifications for business activity.
• Certificate of no criminal record from the country of residence.
• Proof of financial capacity (bank statements, investment details, or financial guarantees).

Talent Passport – Economic Contribution

• Business plan detailing economic impact on France.
• Investment documents and financial commitment proof.
• Proof of eligibility for Talent Passport (if applicable).
• Employment contract or business ownership confirmation.

Skilled & Posted Workers

• Employment contract from a French employer.
• Work permit issued by French authorities.
• Proof of professional qualifications & prior experience.
• Official letter from the employer detailing salary, role, and project duration.

ICT Posted Employee & Professional Work Placement

• Cerfa form No. 15619*01, with supporting documents listed on the form.
• Proof of seniority in the employer’s company (at least 6 months).
• Proof that both companies (home & host) belong to the same corporate group.
• For posted workers:
  • Proof of professional qualifications & experience.
• For professional trainees:
  • Copy of higher education diploma.
• Employment contract or official letter from employer stating:
  • Remuneration conditions.
  • Duration of assignment.
  • Location of receiving company.
• Proof of managerial/expert status and commitment to return to an entity in a third country after assignment completion.
• Proof of sufficient financial resources (must be greater than or equal to full-time French minimum wage).

ICT Trainee Visa

• Proof of eligibility for a regulated profession (if applicable).
• Proof of seniority (at least 6 months) in the employer’s company.
• Proof of connection between the sending and receiving company (same corporate group).
• For seconded employees:
  • Proof of qualifications & professional experience.
• For trainees:
  • Copy of higher education diploma.
• Employment contract or assignment letter detailing:
  • Remuneration conditions.
  • Duration of the assignment.
  • Location of the host company.
• Proof that the applicant will return to an entity in a third country after the assignment.
• Proof of sufficient financial resources (at least equal to full-time French minimum wage).

Farm Operators & Agricultural Work

• Registration with Mutualité Sociale Agricole.
• DDTM authorization for farm operations.
• Proof of regular and sufficient income from agricultural activity.

Job Search & Business Creation (Recent Graduates)

• Copy of a French master’s degree or higher, obtained within the last four years.
• Proof of a business creation project, if applicable.
• Financial proof of at least €615 per month.

Proof of Finance

• Bank statements from the last 3 months showing sufficient funds.
• Tax statements, payslips, or proof of financial sponsorship.
• For ICT visas – Proof of financial independence, demonstrating ability to cover living costs in France (must meet or exceed the full-time gross monthly minimum wage).
• For entrepreneurs – Financial backing documents or business investment proof.

Proof of Accommodation

• Hotel booking or rental agreement, clearly stating the applicant’s full name, stay dates, and address.
• Attestation d’Accueil from the local town hall in France, if staying with a host.
• For ICT visas – Company-provided accommodation must be officially stated in the employment contract or assignment letter if applicable.

Proof of Travel

• Confirmed return ticket (plane, ferry, bus, etc.).

Travel Health Insurance

• Minimum coverage of €30,000 for medical costs, including emergencies.

Photo Specifications

• Recent and True to Appearance: The photograph must reflect your current appearance and must not be older than six months.
• Size Requirements: The photo should be between 35 mm and 40 mm wide.
• Face Proportion: The face should occupy 32 mm to 36 mm(approximately 70-80% of the photo) from chin to forehead, excluding hair.
• Background: A plain, light-colored backgroundis required, with no shadows or patterns.
• Expression: A neutral expression, with both eyes open and clearly visible. No excessive smiling or frowning.
• Head Position: The face must be centered and looking directly at the camera.
• Glasses & Accessories: No tinted glasses, reflections, or glare; frames must not cover the eyes. Head coverings are only permitted for religious or medical reasonsand must not obscure facial features.
