Documents Required

Pre-requisites

• Passport: Issued within the last 10 years, with at least two blank pages and valid for at least three months beyond the planned departure date.
• ID Photograph: As per Photo Specifications.
• UK Residency:
  • Provide a UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.
• Official Travel Document: If applicable, a Note Verbale is required.

Purpose of Travel

Mandatory documents for all types:

• Invitation letter from a French company stating:
  • Purpose, duration, and location of the business visit.
  • Confirmation of meetings, seminars, or conferences.
• Proof of event registration (trade fairs, congresses, exhibitions).
• Commitment letter from the inviting organization confirming coverage of expenses, if applicable.
• Confirmed return ticket (plane, ferry, bus, etc.).

Visa Specific documents for all types:

• Consulting, audit, and expertise missions(letter from employer specifying role, duration, and purpose).
• Cultural, artistic, scientific, and sports events(letter of accreditation or proof of participation).
• Employment in foreign or French service(employment contract and relevant documents).
• Models or fashion professionals(contract from modeling agency).
• Professional work placements or internships(signed internship agreement).
• Posted workers and recruited professionals(copy of qualifications and work permit, where required).
• Scientists & researchers(hosting agreement from an accredited organization).

Socio-Professional Situation

(Documents must be recent and dated within the last 30 days at the time of submission.)

• For employees:
  • Recent signed official letter from the employer stating the nature of the visit.
  • Last three months’ payslips.
  • Company registration details (address, phone, UK company number).
• For self-employed applicants:
  • Letter from accountant, solicitor, or banker confirming business ownership.
  • Business registration certificate and tax documents.
• For students attending professional events:
  • Signed official letter from university confirming participation.

Proof of Finance

• Last 3 months of UK bank statements showing sufficient funds for the trip.
• Payslips, tax returns, or financial sponsorship documents.

Proof of Accommodation

• Hotel booking or rental agreement, clearly stating the applicant’s full name, stay dates, and address.
• Attestation d’Accueil from the local town hall in France (if staying with a host).
• Travel agency booking confirmation, if applicable.

Proof of Travel

• Confirmed return ticket (plane, ferry, bus, etc.).

Travel Health Insurance

• Valid for the Schengen area.
• Minimum coverage of €30,000 for medical costs, including emergencies.

Photo Specifications

• Recent and True to Appearance: The photograph must reflect your current appearance and must not be older than six months.
• Size Requirements: The photo should be between 35 mm and 40 mm wide.
• Face Proportion: The face should occupy 32 mm to 36 mm(approximately 70-80% of the photo) from chin to forehead, excluding hair.
• Background: A plain, light-colored backgroundis required, with no shadows or patterns.
• Expression: A neutral expression, with both eyes open and clearly visible. No excessive smiling or frowning.
• Head Position: The face must be centered and looking directly at the camera.
• Glasses & Accessories: No tinted glasses, reflections, or glare; frames must not cover the eyes. Head coverings are only permitted for religious or medical reasons and must not obscure facial features.
